Job Description:

DoorDash is looking for an engineering manager with strong product sense to join the Merchant Onboarding team in San Francisco. The Merchant Onboarding team is responsible for moving some key business metrics around selection and onboarding a variety of merchants with unique needs in record time, with ease and with great quality. The team is, at present, designing and creating a central onboarding system to help Merchants seamlessly come aboard the platform and thrive. There are a wide breadth of problems to solve across web, and backend, including merchant onboarding & customization, selection intelligence, and tooling automation.

Your team will span web and backend engineers and will work across multiple platforms to tackle a variety of problems. You will be partnering with GMs, operations and product leads to create a bold vision and roadmap to help merchants propel their business to new heights.

  • Scale the team by developing existing team members and attracting world-class talent
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership for a fast-growing team
  • Engage with key business stakeholders to define the roadmap and vision
  • Collaborate with the sales & operations team to define and execute on efficiency improvements
  • Build a world-class merchant selection and onboarding platform
    About You
    • Strong hands-on technical leader
    • Strong product intuition
    • Able to lead full-stack engineering teams - backend, web, mobile, and machine learning
    • High-energy and confident - you'll do whatever it takes to win

    • Desire for impact - ready to take on a lot of responsibility and work collaboratively with your team
      • 3+ years of experience in people management, ideally leading a team size of 10+
      • Prior experience working on a fast-iterating product
      • Extensive experience as an engineer in a product-focused development environment
