Backstop is a Chicago based company that makes web-based software applications for institutional investors. Over the last few years, we have grown considerably, won several awards, and built a lot of great software. Backstoppers take our customers and our service very seriously, but pride ourselves on not taking ourselves too seriously in the process. We are looking for a dynamic Relationship Manager to join our team! Core Responsibilities: * Identify areas for growth within assigned client base and effectively cross sell other BSG products and services * Conduct client outreach calls and meetings * Coordinate client visits with other client facing teams * Analyze and monitor key data points to ensure clients are engaged and fully adopting our software * Grow client satisfaction, retention, and referenceability across the assigned client base * Act as a lead evangelist of the BSG story and vision both internally and externally * Partner with senior management at assigned clients to help achieve business goals * Manage account and revenue plans for assigned clients * Proactively engage with and reduce the number of "at risk" clients by demonstrating the BSG value * Manage client improvement requests and provide feedback to Product Management to identify feature / function needs and new product ideas * Handle client escalations from Support, Professional Services, and Sales * Coordinate with Client Services, Sales Operations, Marketing, Professional Services, Product Management, and Sales on key initiatives to drive Backstop visibility, education and usage * Assist with team documentation and other internal projects * Ad hoc client projects Experience and Skills Experience and Skills: * Bachelor's degree required * +5 years of experience in financial services technology account management or sales experience; or +5 years of experience on a professional services team or client support team with an aptitude for the consultative sales process * Thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment with many simultaneous projects * Must be analytical, well organized and detail oriented * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Alternative Investment Industry experience or knowledge is preferred * Up to 25% travel required Nice To Have/ Additional: * Knowledge of capital raising and investor relations for Hedge Funds
