The RoleGrove is looking to develop a world-class TV advertising practice. This role will lead the expansion and refinement of our TV advertising strategy, as we look to diversify our advertising channels and strengthen our brand awareness. As TV Channel Manager, you will bring significant experience in the Linear & OTT TV advertising space to bear in helping to inform and direct Grove's TV strategy. You will be highly quantitative and focused on finding the most efficient ways to scale our overall media buys across TV formats, while also having an in-depth understanding of how measurement practices & creative strategy can supercharge performance.This role will report to the Senior Director of Acquisition & Optimization and you will have a multi-million dollar per month budget for TV that's focused on direct response acquisition goals. Additionally, as we lean more into brand marketing there's opportunities to expand our TV presence in support. You are scrappy, innovative, and are highly results-oriented. You're comfortable with data and have advanced knowledge of the data that is available from OTT & Linear providers for performance measurement & optimization. You will leverage agency partners for media buys, but experience with media buying/direct relationships is a plus. You will partner with Marketing Analytics to assess TV performance weekly/monthly and you will be responsible for developing and executing a creative A/B testing strategy in close coordination with a Creative Analyst and the Creative team.YOUR IMPACT:* Manage and optimize a large TV budget so that it can get even larger* Help inform creative and testing strategies to further improve TV's direct response performance* Collaborate with other Acquisition channel leads around strategy and budget shifts based on performance - we're all trying to win together, no channel wins alone* Optimize media buys and creative continuously to maximize results & effectiveness* Channel market insights from agencies, networks and platforms back to Grove to inform our media, measurement and creative strategies* Work with our Merchandising and Optimization teams to ensure the on-site experience for TV traffic delivers against the promise we make in our adsABOUT YOU:* You have 7+ years of professional experience, and are comfortable working on a high-performing team with shifting priorities that lives & breathes data* You have experience buying TV media, both directly and through agencies* You have bought/managed over $30M of TV media in the US over the course of your career* You have experience with several different methods for tracking the effectiveness of TV advertising campaigns, and have a point of view on what to use when, why* You are detail-oriented, organized, and use data to back up your strategies.* You are a builder: Most of the time you'd rather build a process and refine it over time than move fast and do things ad hoc* You're intellectually curious, and you are constantly trying to learn more about the TV industry and advertising* You're consistently looking for how things could be improved, you're hard-working, curious, and eager to turn data into actions* You are action-oriented and want to make an impact.
