We are looking for a Director of Affiliate Marketing & Partnerships who will serve as a senior leader owning all aspects of our rapidly growing affiliate business. This person will be the face of Udemy's affiliate business and will have broad responsibility for the channel's global performance, operations, and expanding into new areas such as product partnerships. The role is both highly strategic and tactical in nature, and we are seeking an entrepreneurial leader who is comfortable managing global teams and beating aggressive growth targets in a dynamic, fast-paced data-driven environment. Udemy is partnered with affiliate networks around the world and has a strong network of partners across key categories, including: product, news, content, loyalty, coupon, and more. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone with broad business strategy and business development skills, deep experience in the affiliate marketing space, an expert level understanding of the affiliate landscape, a deep network of contacts, and someone who has a proven record of building out in-house affiliate marketing teams to drive global customer acquisition at scale. We are seeking a role-model who is able to inspire loyalty, engender trust, and attract a following. This individual must be highly respected by all who hold a stake in the company's success. This role will report directly to the VP, Strategic Partnerships. Here is what you will be doing:

• Define the strategy for Udemy's global affiliate marketing, including: target markets, partners, recruitment, value proposition, promotional strategy, and retention strategy
• Own all budget line items related to the affiliate channel, and own the accountability for delivering financial results; collaborate with Udemy's Finance organization to forecast and deliver against ROI and Revenue targets
• Lead a global team who manages direct affiliate relationships
• Collaborate with other members of the Marketing Leadership team for cross-channel knowledge sharing and efficiency gains
• Own and deliver on monthly and quarterly revenue targets for customer acquisition through affiliate partners
• Conduct analysis on channel and partner revenues to diagnose problems and unlock opportunities
• Work directly with our affiliate network partners
• Directly negotiate and secure placements or opportunities with top partners; design and build partner management programs for the mid and long-tail
• Make recommendations on affiliate marketing platforms, tools, and technology We're excited about you because you have:
  • 8+ years of in-house affiliate marketing experience for a large e-commerce or consumer internet company
  • Proven track record of delivering against revenue and customer acquisition targets
  • Experience managing affiliate multi-million dollar marketing budgets with aggressive growth targets
  • Deep experience in leading, inspiring, and building global teams
  • Highly analytical (SQL skills preferred) with strong disposition toward data-based decision making and incrementality testing
  • Proven experience managing partner relationships and delivering on shared goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable in working with and presenting to executive level leadership
  • A strong bias-to-action and a competitive, results-driven mentality. You are extremely persistent and leave no stone unturned in pursuit of a goal.
