The Ford Agency is actively recruiting for an entrepreneurial Business Development Director to join a Virginia-based consulting firm . This role works closely with the firm's leadership and will be responsible for expanding the firm's reach through proactively identifying, pursuing, and onboarding new clients. It's a strategic role that requires innovation and resourcefulness a terrific opportunity for a Business Development professional with demonstrated success working with Federal clients looking to play a leadership role. Responsibilities Include:

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities
• Perform opportunity assessments and vetting gap analysis
• Drive new opportunities through the capture process
• Analyze trends and changes taking place with existing and new accounts
• Make recommendations for future courses of action to improve the firm's position
• Maintain sales forecasting and demand planning data through pipeline
• Foster and maintain relationships with prospective clients
• Collaborate with leadership and other team members to ensure goals are met Qualifications Include:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • 7+ years of business development experience obtaining federal contracts
  • Extensive knowledge of Federal Government sector
  • In depth knowledge of proposal support, sales, account management, and direct management of business opportunities throughout BD and sales lifecycle
  • Experience working with or in the Federal Government market at the Senior Level and Program Executive Office levels
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Knowledge of the proposal preparation process
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Technical Skills:
