Our initial programs are focused on developing therapeutics in oncology. The opportunity The Sr. Manager/Assoc. Director, Clinical Business Operations will be responsible for managing vendor selection, contracts, budgets and performance metrics. They are skilled at developing and leveraging relationships with external vendors for strong business results and knows how to structure service agreements/contracts to drive accountability, quality and performance. This role is a key partner to the clinical study teams and will partner with senior level stakeholders to ensure vendors are achieving committed goals and service levels in accordance with executed contracts, budgets and timelines.-- Your Role

  • You will identify, engage and contract with clinical vendors as well manage relationships with key vendor stakeholders.
  • You will oversee the negotiation and execution of contractual agreements and change orders.
  • You will work with the clinical study leads and cross-functional teams to establish governance process, which may include joint oversight committees, with key clinical vendors to monitor service levels and key performance indicators and manage issue escalation and resolution.
  • You will develop clinical site budgets and partner with CRO counterparts to negotiate with clinical sites.
  • You will partner with the legal team to develop the Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs).
  • You will provide support for financial planning and the financial management of clinical studies, including developing more efficient processes to calculate budgets and track expenses.
  • You will proactively identify opportunities for operational and process improvements and efficiencies. Your Background
    • You should ideally have 8+ years of experience in clinical vendor management and/or clinical financial management. Sponsor experience is strongly preferred.
    • You have experience with all aspects of vendor oversight or alliance management: from vendor selection, contract development, selection, to performance management and continuous improvement of the vendor relationships.
    • You have expertise working with cross-functional teams, such as clinical operations, finance, legal, quality, systems and process, as well as with corresponding vendor functions
    • You have a strong understanding of clinical development phase activity finance with hands on financial analytics experience. You have effective negotiation, project management and creative problem-solving skills
    • You have excellent analytical and quantitative skills
    • You are a motivated self-starter who is capable of flourishing in a fast-paced small company environment.
    • You are a creative problem-solver with excellent communication and public speaking skills.
    • You have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a high degree of attention to detail.--
    • You are pragmatic and able to manage multiple projects and needs effectively.
