Job Description:

We're looking for a leader who can partner with the Head of Investor Relations and provide strategic thought leadership for the rapidly growing Investor Relations function at Asana. The leader will serve as a primary contact for the investment community and will be responsible for executing the internal IR function. This role requires a self-starter and proven leader with demonstrated experience working with institutional investors and managing financial analysis for equities. Reporting to the Vice President of IR, the Director will be an strategic part of corporate comms strategy and the overall Finance team and will work closely with all members of leadership. What you'll achieve

  • Build the company's internal investor relations function including strategy development and creating and executing the IR operating plan and budget
  • Act as primary spokesperson for all communication with the investment community regarding the Company's business model, operating results, business strategies and special developments
  • Assist investors and analysts in modeling the company's historical financial statements
  • Compare internal forecasts with analyst models-tracking analyst estimate changes and ensuring accuracy
  • Review and summarize analyst reports, competitive financial analysis and aggregate information from various financial data sources
  • Advise on and support all aspects of investor marketing
  • Manage all aspects of quarterly earnings-including preparation of quarterly financial press releases, conference call scripts, Q&A documents, investor presentations and other associated materials; assist in drafting annual and quarterly SEC filings
  • Manage the Company's participation in investor and analyst events such as conferences, meetings, non-deal roadshows
  • Manage the planning of the Company's Analyst Day and Annual Shareholder Meeting
  • Compile disclosures and data for use by senior management in meetings and discussions with investors, analysts and shareholders
  • Provide senior management with feedback and recommendations related to discussions with the investment community, as well as commentary regarding events within the market and industry
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure a consistent corporate image is presented to analysts, institutional investors, individual shareholders, media and all external parties
  • Work closely with senior staff on internal and external financial planning, forecasting and reporting
  • Support M&A activities across the finance function as needed About you
    • 6+ years of experience in investor relations, finance, FP&A, as a sell side analyst or other Wall Street position
    • Expertise working cross functionally with FP&A, accounting, strategy, product and sales functions to understand and influence business trends and incorporate this understanding into strategy, external messaging and communications
    • Demonstrated understanding of Reg FD and other SEC disclosure rules and regulations
    • Ability to model financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
    • Understanding of valuation and modeling techniques used by investors and analysts
    • Advanced communications skills (written and oral) and relationship skills
    • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software; familiarity with IR focused software/tools preferred
    • Ability to represent the company at investor meetings/conferences as required
    • Keen intellect, unquestioned ethics, a sense of urgency and the ability to simultaneously execute on both tactical and strategic projects with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
    • Ability to build relationships with and interact effectively with investors and financial analysts, as well as executive management, peers, and subordinates
    • Experience in software and subscription business model (recurring revenue and cost structure)
    • Ability to effectively build relationships with internal and external partners
    • Strong personal integrity with the highest ethical standards
