Job Description:

Join the leading independent Kubernetes company to build and manage a world-class product management team that collaborates exceptionally well with engineering, design and other key functions. Implement and execute a disciplined process to discover and develop meaningful products that make the company vision a reality. Partner closely with customers to design future products and features. Outcomes Product Leadership: Determine the product roadmap by prioritizing the biggest market opportunities for the company. Act as a check and balance system relative to key product decisions based on product market information. Establish a decision process to allow the company leaders to consistently evaluate focus areas that align with the company vision. Customers/Users: Engage with customers/users to understand market opportunities and customer/user needs and utilize this information to determine the product market fit for the company. Represent the company and products externally. Team Leadership: Hire, train, motivate, mentor and empower product managers. Clearly define individual roles and responsibilities, allocate product resources and manage progress as well as overall team happiness. Execution: Work closely with engineering and other functions to ensure high quality products can be delivered against deadlines and achieve product goals/business priorities. Implement processes that allow the team to make data-driven decisions, communicate effectively and deliver efficiently. As the company grows identify inefficiencies and implement methods to streamline execution. Cross-functional Influence/Communication: Build strong relationships across key functions, get buy-in and influence peers from cross-functional teams to work toward common goals. Must Have Experience building, developing, and running a world-class product team at an enterprise software company, preferably in the cloud infrastructure space. Master communicator who can facilitate conversations between diverse stakeholders and manage customer expectations. Strong customer focus and business acumen. Strategic thinker who brings new perspectives to the D2iQ leadership team. Successfully implemented data-driven processes to turn vision into an actionable roadmap. Takes a holistic view of product with a focus on the customer experience. Well-versed in technical conversations. Nice To Have Experience shipping a datacenter or cloud infrastructure software product. Experience with open source/open core software. Understands the datacenter operator/developer/devops personas. Technical understanding of containers and cloud native software such as Kubernetes. Track record as a speaker at industry conferences.
