Job Description: U.S. Pipe and Foundry is seeking an Electrical
Engineering Intern. The successful candidate will play a key role
in assisting senior engineers with various projects in a heavy
manufacturing environment. Interns will be tasked with providing
electrical engineering support to Process Control Engineers and PLC
Programmers. Interns will also be assisting with troubleshooting
and maintenance on all electrical systems and network hardware and
software. Some projects may include data collection and monitoring
to improve productivity to existing machines. This internship can
lead to a full-time at will employment opportunity as US Pipe.
Essential Functions: Provide electrical engineering support to
Process Control Engineers and PLC Programmers. Project management
of smaller projects where interns will conceptualize, design, and
converse with vendors for pricing and support in the commissioning
of the project(s). Assist with configuration of control platforms
which can include PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems. Aid in
troubleshooting and maintenance of process equipment electrical
systems, plant infrastructure controls and electrical distribution
and computer systems. Maintain and document controls and network
hardware and software. Technical document storage and retrieval
improvements using Autodesk products. Aid in troubleshooting,
repair, and replacement of defective components. Assisting senior
engineers. Performs other duties as assigned. Skills & Other
Requirements: Electrical Engineering Intern must be an active
student, in good standing, and enrolled in an Engineering or
related degree program. High level of integrity, strong work ethic,
ability to work independently and good judgement. Must have
completed sophomore year of college. Interested in manufacturing
