Job Description:
Our client, a leading innovator in sensor technology and
autonomous vehicle systems, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Test
Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Test Engineer, you will
be an integral part of the Sensor Systems Verification and
Validation department, supporting cutting-edge projects in vehicle
sensor systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong
technical expertise, collaborative spirit, and a passion for
advancing autonomous vehicle technology, which will align
successfully within the organization. Job Title: Test Engineer
Location: Foster City, CA Pay Range: $88 per hour What's the Job?
Contribute to sensor systems (lidar, camera, radar) verification
and validation activities for next-generation vehicle platforms and
hardware updates. Collaborate with systems engineers, software
engineers, and hardware specialists to develop, standardize, and
optimize V&V methodologies for scalable sensor system
deployment. Design and execute comprehensive test plans to verify
sensing system requirements and validate overall system
performance. Set up test environments, analyze test data, and
communicate findings through technical reports and executive
updates. Develop reusable sensor data analysis and test automation
software using Python and/or C++ to streamline testing processes.
What's Needed? A degree in engineering with at least 6 years of
experience in sensor systems development and testing. Familiarity
with at least one sensor modality: camera, lidar, or radar.
Hands-on experience with hardware debugging and testing in a
laboratory or field environment. Proficiency in analyzing data
using high-level programming languages such as Python, Matlab, or
C++. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment,
communicating complex technical information clearly and
