Job Description Job Description Soils Engineer, P.E. Soils Engineer, P.E. Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Soils Engineer, P.E. to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing soil behavior and properties to provide expert recommendations for various engineering projects. You will work closely with project teams to ensure the successful design and execution of projects while adhering to environmental standards and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities Conduct soil testing and analysis to determine properties and suitability for construction projects. Design and recommend foundations based on soil mechanics and environmental conditions. Perform site investigations to assess soil conditions and prepare detailed reports. Oversee laboratory testing of soil samples to ensure compliance with ASTM standards. Evaluate slope stability and design retaining structures as needed. Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans and timelines. Prepare and present technical reports and documentation for clients and stakeholders. Support the construction team with field inspections and quality control measures. Qualifications Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in CA or the ability to get one. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field. Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and environmental engineering principles. Experience with foundation design and site investigations preferred. Familiarity with laboratory testing and construction materials standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD and technical report writing.
