We are looking for talented, motivated and ambitious team members to revolutionize robotic surgery.About The Team:The Navigation Team is a dynamic group of experts dedicated to revolutionizing the way medical professionals navigate complex anatomies and deliver targeted interventions. We serve as the driving force behind the development, testing, and optimization of advanced navigation systems utilized in critical medical procedures. We leverage state-of-the-art technologies from other industries and innovate to solve our unique problems. With a shared passion for precision and a commitment to advancing healthcare, we are trailblazing a new era of accuracy, safety, and success in medical navigation.As a Staff Navigation Engineer, you will be responsible for demonstrating technical expertise on software and hardware componentes under R&D as well as deployed in the field. Your primary goals will be to research new algorithmic components, iterate on existing features, resolve software related issues, perform comprehensive performance analysis, and develop tools to help drive the product forward. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including software developers, technicians, and customer service representatives, to help deliver high quality patient outcomes.A Day In The Life Of Our -Staff Navigation Engineer:Algorithm Development: Research, develop, evaluate and iterate algorithms related to navigation within the human body.Software Development: Implement high quality algorithmic and software modules in product software systems interfacing with other modules. Create tools for visualization and performance analysis.Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve software-related issues reported by both internal and external users.Documentation: Create and maintain accurate documentation of technical design, evaluation protocols, issue resolutions, and customer interactions.Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including software developers and customer support, to escalate and resolve complex issues efficiently.Field Support: Investigate critical issues observed in the field and work with field service engineers to analyze new sites.Feedback Collection: Gather both internal and external feedback on software performance, user experience, and feature requests to improve future iterations.About You:Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree (MS, PhD) is preferred. Relevant certifications are a plus.Minimum of five to eight years of industry experience in a relevant field.Technical Skills: Mastery of software development with C# and Python, along with an advanced understanding of mathematics and algorithms. Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:Geometric computer vision related to camera calibration, stereo reconstruction, pose estimation, robust estimation, numerical optimization, structure from motion or SLAMSensor categorization, calibration, sensor filtering, sensor fusion, , and probabilistic roboticsImage and point cloud registrationDeep Learning for computer vision or medical image analysis3D graphics and renderingProblem-Solving: -Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of solving complex technical challenges efficiently.Adaptability: Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrive in a dynamic environment.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
