If you are eager to learn, create, and apply your knowledge, we look forward to having you join us and be a part of our mission.________________________________________________________________________________Summary:The Sustaining Process Development Engineer is responsible for monitoring the production lines and equipment to ensure that processes operate efficiently, and tools and equipment perform optimally to achieve high-quality deliverables that meet business objectives.Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and contain non-conforming products or practices using root cause analysis principles, execute corrective action plans, and dispose of affected products
  • Collaborate with Process Development Engineers, Equipment Engineers, and Production staff to ensure accurate work instructions and procedures are in place
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and train staff on how to perform processes safely and correctly
  • Develop start-up procedures and standard process monitors to ensure the health of the production line and identify any out-of-control tools or processes
  • Perform basic hands-on troubleshooting of high-volume manufacturing tools
  • Identify key process metrics and establish statistical process control at key manufacturing stationsMinimum Qualifications:The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily to perform this job successfully.     • Bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
    • 2+ years of hands-on experience in an R&D laboratory or equivalent environmentDesirable Qualifications:
      • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and statistical software (e.g. JMP, Minitab)
      • Experience with CAD or Engineering Drawings
      • Prior start-up experienceKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
        • Proficient in common workplace software (Microsoft Office)
        • Independent problem solver with a desire to learn new skills and develop new technology
        • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset
        • Able to adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced start-up setting
        • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
