Future Family combines advances in fintech, fertility care, and tele-health to support people throughout their fertility journeys.Role OverviewEngineering Manager at Future Family is responsible for providing technical leadership for the vision, design, implementation, and operation of secure and scalable solutions at Future Family. The thoughtful design and rapid experimentation is core for what's enabled Future Family to scale to where it is today and in future. You'll be responsible for using your customer understanding to work closely with product managers and executive teams in order to quickly design, deliver, and iterate on features. You will mentor the engineering team and help grow them in the role. You care about connecting users and making remote work a great experience withinFuture Family.In this role, you can expect to

• 
  
• Collaborate with technical, product, and design leaders across Future Family to learn and understand their requirements, manage dependencies, and plan for their future needs.
  
• Strategize technical roadmap for building platform capability for scale
  
• Build strong relationships with different partners and vendors to align requirements and reduce velocity bottlenecks
  
• Establish metrics for measuring velocity and success of product initiatives
  
• Technical skills, with experience and track record of success in building scalable, low-latency, and high-availability services
  
• Build team's core operational capability to support SLA.
  
• Have 1-1s with engineers on your team. Build relationships by getting to know them better, cultivate their communication skills, coach them through a conflict, and partner with them to unlock new ideas to accelerate developer productivity and solve customer pain-points.
  
• Lead and advocate for better development practices through CI, automated testing, and operational efficiency.
  
• Communicate progress, value, and blockers to the wide organization
  What We Are Looking For
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field (Masters degree preferred)
    
  • 3+ years of experience in a management role, building and motivating a diverse engineering organization fostering autonomy, innovation and learning, while holding a high bar for craft, 8+ years of experience in engineering
    
  • Hands on experience with Python, Backend services, React.js as well as a track record of delivering amazing solutions
    
  • A clear focus on measurable customer outcomes
    
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with different stakeholders on the goals and expected behaviors required for success
    
  • Fintech or Heath-care experience in highly preferable
