Job Description:

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a candidate for one of our northern California offices to provide electrical engineering evaluation and design for water and wastewater facility projects. This position is part of a team of committed planning, environmental, and design professionals. Come join a fast-growing, high-performing team in one of our many northern California locations.

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Qualified candidate should have knowledge in industrial power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layout and related activities. High voltage experience is a plus.
  • Candidate should have a good working knowledge of the NEC and related Codes.
  • Candidate must also have good communication skills, including interaction with clients and contractors.
  • Candidate will serve as the lead electrical engineer on projects for water and wastewater facilities. Responsibilities include supervision of less experienced staff working on projects, and interaction with clients and engineers from other disciplines.
  • AutoCAD experience is a must, Revit BIM software and SKM power systems software is desirable.
  • Experience with instrumentation and control systems is a plus, including field and panel instruments, operator interfaces, and PLCs.
  • Professional Engineering License is required. Educational Requirements:
    • 10-15 years of experience in electrical engineering and design
    • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required
