Job Description:

Solo is looking for a sharp engineer who wants to help build a world-class IT platform and infrastructure. You should have an understanding of modern IT needs and the current state-of-the-art for MacOS. A leaning towards the security side of things would be much appreciated.Responsibilities:

• Own the functionality and viability of our MacOS fleet that also includes a few Windows endpoints.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure we keep our systems current and secure while striving for as lightweight a footprint as possible in our M1 fleet.
• Build out our fleet deployment, tracking, and monitoring capabilities with the following in mind:
  • Our workforce is globally distributed. -
  • We need to know what happens to our users, as well as when and how.
  • We need to be able to respond to what happens to them.
  • Assist with help-desk tasks as needed. -Requirements:
    • As a fully remote company, you'll need the ability to communicate complex ideas and create documentation. Good writing and presentation skills are a must.
    • Some experience with programming languages such as Python, Go, and Ruby.
    • 3-5 years managing MacOS fleets with open source tooling or enterprise MDM solutions.
    • Strong knowledge of the MacOS configuration profile specs and Apple MDM.
    • Strong knowledge of MacOS Internals, packaging, preferences, system extensions, unified logs, Endpoint Security Framework, SIP, and Gatekeeper.
    • Experience with Windows and Intune. An understanding of the Registry, PowerShell, and WMI is helpful.
    • Experience managing Okta and Google Workspace.
      • An understanding of the concepts that go into Zero Trust Security and what can reasonably be achieved with them.
