What You---ll Do Galileo---s cloud infrastructure team is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will act as a resource for a team of engineers, building automation solutions for our infrastructure orchestration and designing standards to be used by the Engineering organization. You will review the existing solutions in detail, challenge the status quo and existing assumptions, and champion technical solutions that scale with the platform growth. While assisting in the day to day operations of a multi-billion dollar fintech company, you will help build future solutions to ensure the stability and high-availability of infrastructure that directly benefits our customers. From a technical skill set perspective, you must have established scripting experience within Linux environments. Experience with cloud platforms and Kubernetes is also preferred, as well as operating in high-traffic environments, supporting highly scalable cloud-based applications that are paramount to the happiness and success of Galileo---s large customer base. You will treat infrastructure as code, and deploy all infrastructure via automated pipelines. You will work to better our scaling up and scaling down of resources, while applying concepts of self-healing to our existing infrastructure. What You---ll Need Bachelor's Degree or higher in a technical field 1-2 years--- experience with common services that run under Linux and Kubernetes experience and best practices Understanding of DNS/service discovery Demonstrated proficiency writing complex scripts in a standard scripting language Build and upgrade our existing monitoring and deployment scripts Establish automated monitoring to ensure systems are continuously monitored Partner effectively with our teams on shared technologies Configure tooling for system scalability, ensure we have capacity for future growth Reduce the recovery time of highly complex environment Maintain an understanding of the Galileo platform and technical components, including applications, integration between components with upstream and downstream processes Work closely with cross functional teams to understand changes on the Galileo platform Design and implement technical solutions to satisfy functional and non-functional requirements while ensuring quality, scalability and timely delivery Collect and document all existing and new automation and share to improve knowledge.
