Our products include optical and RF communication systems as well as sophisticated image processing & visualization systems.
What You'll Get to Do:We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to take ownership of PCBA design, bringup and integration into future space systems.Responsibilities include:

  • Development and testing of communication systems incorporating high speed digital, analog, fiber optic and free space optic components, electro-optic modulators, lasers and photo-detectors
  • Ownership of electronic hardware design from schematic capture through PCB layout and into production
  • Driving consensus on hardware requirements with input from software, mechanical, optical and systems engineering teams
  • Bringup and debug of hardware in the lab using high speed scopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, protocol analyzers, etc.
  • Integration of electrical, mechanical, optical and software components to build systems for proof of concept designsYou'll Bring These Qualifications:
    • BSEE or MSEE in Electrical or Computer Engineering
    • 7+ years of work experience leading complex hardware designs from concept through volume production
    • Experience designing electronics for space environments (thermal, power, radiation survivability, EMI/EMC, etc)
    • Experience simulating, designing, implementing, and testing both digital and analog electronic circuits
    • Experience in high-speed digital design, timing analysis, controlled impedance, worst-case analysis
    • Solid hands-on and laboratory skills to support initial bring up, I&T and performance characterization. Including Python scripting and interfacing to the system through serial/network.
    • Proficiency with OrCAD Schematic Capture, familiarity with Allegro PCB Editor
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Self-motivated and self-directed, requiring little supervision
      These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
      • Design background in telecommunication systems
      • Experience working within agile development environments
      • Experience in FPGA design (schematic capture, system verilog)
