ABOUT THE ROLEWe're looking for a PR Associate who is ready to hit the ground running with media strategy and pitching. The PR team is building some fun and exciting programs, including thought leadership, proactive, news, data, customer PR and speaking and awards, but we would like to find someone who will be our eyes and ears on the "ground" with media, constantly reading the news and strategizing ways to get Jotform featured. This person will be passionate about news and media, constantly honing their understanding of what makes a good story, who the right reporters are and what's needed to secure coverage. You will work closely with our PR Manager to devise creative pitch ideas and media strategy for campaigns. This role will be primarily focused on driving proactive media coverage but will also have the chance to grow by helping drive and eventually lead additional critical PR programs.
This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategize and drive proactive media campaigns, drafting pitches and media lists and working with our PR Manager and PR agency to secure media opportunities, especially with vertical and top tier publications
• Track the news throughout the day, constantly looking for reporters to engage with and new proactive story ideas to try, sharing articles that seem interesting to you and relevant to our program, and always being on the lookout for news/trend jacking opportunities
• Meet with reporters on Zoom or in person to develop and nurture media relationships
• Pitch and draft commentary for HAROs
• Oversee coverage tracking, sharing stories with our PR agency and making sure they account for all stories in our metrics tracker
  As you grow in this role, more opportunities will open up. For instance, getting to run and own key PR programs like data and customer PR.
  QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of public relations experience, preferably at a PR agency
  • Entrepreneurial and can take charge and own projects with little supervision
  • Creative, constantly thinking of ways to get Jotform in the news
  • Curious, constantly wanting to learn and take in the news; in order to stay on the pulse, you gotta constantly be reading the news
  • Willing to try new things and work quickly to meet tight deadlines

      • $70,000-$90,000 annual base salary
