About the position:

We are currently seeking a Senior Marketing Specialist to join our growing Marketing team in Arup's West Geography. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is inspired by the built environment and wants to grow in a fast-paced environment that values innovation, creativity, sustainable development, and digital skills. This is a strategic role with responsibility for proposal direction and content; communication of Arup's values in the creation, organization, and maintenance of marketing collateral; and contribution to a variety of marketing activities. Our Senior Marketing Specialist can be based in our Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, or Oakland offices Responsibilities:

  • Participate in capture planning strategy sessions and assists in client and market focused research activities.
  • Guide the development and execution of go/no-go decision-making.
  • Work closely with leadership to develop client-focused win strategies for proposals and statements of qualifications to successfully capture work.
  • Lead the preparation of competitive proposals, qualification packages and interview presentations
  • Participate in pre-interview planning and presentation rehearsal with design teams and help develop and apply the established win strategy, themes, and discriminators in presentation materials.
  • Maintain consistent quality, corporate identity, and graphic standards.
  • Oversight of marketing materials including projects sheets, resumes, and other collateral
  • Maintain CRM and Share Point databases
  • Mentor Marketing Coordinators and Marketing Assistants in pursuits, interviews, and key marketing processes.
  • Implement AEC marketing best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of pursuit teams. Desired Qualifications:
    • Must have strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
    • 7-10 years of experience (preferably in the A/E/C industry)
    • Experience with large-scale prime proposals
    • Involvement with local A/E/C organizations a plus
    • Must have bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in English or Marketing
    • Must be confident, self-motivated, independent, and proactive
    • Need to have energetic, positive attitude, with proven ability to juggle/respond to multiple deadlines under pressure
    • Experienced in the following computer applications: Adobe Creative Suite, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Share your passion and experience in a global culture that believes your potential to achieve is endless. Hiring Range: The good faith base salary hiring range for this job performed in California is $76,500 and $105,000. Benefits are not included in the base salary range.
