Job Description As a Sr. Product Manager of Product Tools for Metrics and Reporting within the Product Owner Enablement & Tooling team, you will set and drive strategies for how JP Morgan Chase Global Technology Teams will better discover, prioritize, track, and report metrics that guide product success.
We are a new organization that's modernizing the tools ecosystem all Product roles across JP Morgan Chase will use every day to support empowered product teams. You'll work alongside people who have conceived and led successful products from Silicon Valley to NYC, bringing together learnings from a range of different industries.
Metrics/reporting examples include but aren't limited to the following:

  • Voice-of-customer
  • OKR correlation to product
  • Flow and velocity
  • Team Health
    Consider what the above mean to a product organization. How should these influence decisions? What processes and data can be standardized and where do teams need more autonomy? How can tools and reports help?
    Success in this role requires:
  • A background in product development -- you've been part of a successful product team, and you can speak credibly from experience around what success can look like
  • Experience in data-driven analytics and insights - you enjoy mining data and developing insights and recommendations for product teams
  • Accountability for conceiving and driving the creation of tools that aid LOBs to better utilize metrics and reporting to produce value outcomes
  • A natural curiosity about how data can help inform decisions and priorities
  • A high degree of stakeholder empathy along with the ability to make hard choices - you'll be accountable for maintaining a backlog and authorized to make decisions around it
  • An ability to synthesize market trends, customer needs with strategic goals, set a vision, and define/maintain an outcome-based horizon roadmap
  • Effective partnership within a leadership trio along with Engineering and Design to provide technical and customer-centric requirements respectively
  • A strong sense of mission and the value metrics, data, and tools can bring to a product organization
  • An ability to influence through conceiving and articulating a thoughtful narrative - i.e. "story telling"
    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Gather and deeply understand metrics and reporting needs, current processes/tools, as well as industry best practices and landscape
  • Uncover and build a prioritized backlog and horizon roadmap of outcomes
  • Drive build vs. buy decisions
  • Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to sunset, including building business strategies, performance objectives
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering Leads, Design Teams and Customer Success teams to ensure roadmaps strike the right balance between business outcomes, customer needs, technology enablement and adoption
  • Manage the end-to-end product performance, including financial, risk, operations and business performance
  • Inspire teams to build services and technologies that will be the backbone of technology at JPMC
    This role requires a wide range of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • MS/MBA degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 5+ years relevant work in product and agile teams
  • At least 5+ years' experience in a Product role
  • Prior experience specifying report requirements to be implemented in tools such as PowerBI or Tableau (hands-on experience is better)
  • A strong understanding of Agile methods
  • Strong market intelligence and customer-orientation background
