Job SummaryAs a NorCal regional resource, the Creative Strategist collaborates with Sales and Design teams to develop workplace strategy and design intent in support of securing new business and expanding existing account opportunities. Partner with Creative Strategy, Marketing, Sales, and Design leadership to develop and evolve a design-led approach to serve Insidesource clients. Act as a mentor to the design team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Including but not limited to:Creative Strategy Project Engagement

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional Marketing, Sales, and Design teams in pursuit of new or existing client business as a workplace strategist and creative lead
  • Engage with key A&D firms in pursuit of new project opportunities
  • Manage and maintain project workload document to reflect current activities
  • Work closely with Marketing, Design, and Sales to develop bid response look and feel
  • Position workplace and creative strategy services as part of client engagement
  • Partner with Sales leads and Project Designer to develop project strategy, programming, and solutions developmentCreative Sales Engagement
    • Collaborate with the project team to prepare solutions to client and project stakeholders utilizing market and workplace research, design packets, product renderings and/or sketches, and other visual aids needed to convey design intent
    • Attend client meetings and present work as required
    • Provide a detailed, documented road map for hand-offs to Sales and Design project team members
    • Manage, create, and deliver all work in accordance with project document standards and schedules
    • Work with Marketing Team to create content for emerging Creative Sales process and approach to project deliverables and case studiesCreative Strategy Leadership
      • Work closely with Creative Strategy Director and other Creative Strategy team members to identify the best approach to connecting creative and branding strategy with project implementation
      • Mentor Sales and Design team in project engagements to elevate approach to creative and innovative solutions
      • Collaborate with Design and Sales leaders to expand professional and creative development of all Design and Sales teams
      • Participate in Sales, Marketing, and Design meetings to review the bid and/or project approach as a means of illustrating design-led client engagement
      • Partner with key vendors to share best practices and thought leadership regarding workplace environments
      • Attend tradeshows and design industry forums to share findings with Sales, Marketing, and Design teams
      • Seek out opportunities to engage in industry events and forums in which to highlight Insidesource as a leader in workplace strategy
      • Participate in Insidesource showroom design and strategy to reflect emerging approaches to workplace environments
      • Collaborate with Design and Marketing towards ongoing development Sales and Design tools such as LookBooks and Inspiration Packets
        Skills/Knowledge Required
        • Excellent and effective visual, oral, and written communication skills
        • Advanced knowledge of interior design and workplace trends
        • Ability to understand and translate client needs into workplace solutions
        • Excellent networking and relationship-building traits
        • Effective leadership and mentoring skills
        • Fluid interpersonal and collaborative skills to interact effectively with a wide range of personnel and departments
        • Outstanding project management/organizational skills ability to manage multiple projects with minimal direction; ability to collaborate under tight deadlines in a team environment
        • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe Systems (Photoshop, InDesign)
        • Ability to explore emerging software and technology tools in support of design development and visualization
        • Eye for design and layout of marketing materials. Solid skills in copy-editing, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
        • Ability to see the big picture and integrate into day-to-day tasks and activities
        • Understanding of the complexities required to thrive in the dealer environment
        • Must be a self-starter, critical thinker, collaborative and creative
          Experience/Education Required
          • Bachelors degree in interior design and/or 5-10 years in the field or equivalent combination of education and experience
          • Contract furniture industry experience
          • Marketing Strategy and graphic design experience
          • Design firm experience preferred
          • Understanding of and/or working on RFPs
          • Furniture product and specification knowledgeby Jobble
