Dolby is looking for a world-class Brand Marketing Director to drive awareness, relevancy and desire for Dolby experiences in premium entertainment across the categories of TV, Movies, Music, Gaming and Sports. This is a new leadership role that will help drive interest and preference through inspiring stories, compelling marketing programs and high value marketing partnerships. As a Director of Brand Marketing, you will work cross-functionally with business, product and sales stakeholders to build awareness and adoption of Dolby offers and experiences with consumer, creative and industry audiences. You'll work closely with Product Marketing, PR, Design, Content, Digital, Social and Insights functions and Regional Marketing leads to create holistic (global) plans for the portfolio. The Brand Marketing Director role is an advocate for the brand and business and a steward for exceptional marketing practices - continually recommending optimizations to our efforts to ensure efficacy, impact and smart ROI. You are strategic and creative marketing visionary driven to connect our story to the world and you can quickly develop a spot-on understanding of what differentiates Dolby. You have deep brand marketing and campaign expertise with global experience and knowledge about diverse cultural, social, and business landscapes. You have successful experience in and an affinity for both consumer and B2B marketing. Essential skills include the ability to define compelling category positionings, discern the needs of consumer, creative, and industry audiences to inform engagement and outreach strategies, and design innovative major campaign and sustaining programs in support of the premium entertainment portfolio and broader Dolby awareness, adoption, and engagement goals. Responsibilities :

  • Partner with other business, product and sales leaders to set and deliver against coordinated category marketing goals
  • Guide the creation and execution of annual and quarterly global category plans and local (U.S.) activation support
  • Oversee the development of campaign deliverables for big Dolby moments and ongoing brand outreach in partnership with other marketing colleagues
  • Identify key data inputs (consumer, industry, customer and market) to inform messaging, creative and overall campaign development and media spend
  • Own the marketing relationship with key audiences including fans, creators and relevant category partners. Build and leverage key marketing partnerships with important category influencers
  • Translate Dolby experiences into simple, creative, and impactful stories that resonate with key consumer and industry audiences
  • Establish and track metrics that matter. Monitor ROI for all programs, evaluate and optimize continuously
  • Successfully manage, focus and coach a team as well as play a hands-on role to plug gaps where needed Qualifications / Experience:
    • 10+ years of experience in building impactful marketing strategies, creating and executing brand marketing plans in both B2C and B2B contexts
    • Expertise in premium entertainment, consumer electronics or adjacent technology industry, has global experience
    • A well-rounded marketer. Able to flex to different categories, industries and roles as the business evolves. Can operate in ambiguity, able to create clarity
    • Left and right brain thinker who draws energy from strategic, analytical and creative activities. Excellent creative problem solver
    • Persuasive storyteller with excellent spoken and written communication skills
    • Has significant experience and talent influencing external and internal stakeholders including business and sales colleagues, commercial partners and agencies
    • Results and outcomes driven. Track record of success in executing consumer and industry campaigns
