Job Description Job Description LHH partnered with a local company to recruit for a Pension Analyst in Pleasanton, CA. Pension Analyst Pay: $26-$33/hour Type: Temporary Location: Pleasanton, California (Onsite) Key Responsibilities Perform pension benefit calculations based on plan provisions, service time, contributions, and eligibility criteria. Prepare estimates, benefit statements, and supporting documentation for retirements, terminations, survivorship, and other qualifying events. Review, verify, and reconcile participant demographic and employment data across internal systems. Ensure accuracy of pension records by identifying discrepancies and obtaining corrections when needed. Interpret and apply plan rules, policies, and regulatory requirements while processing cases. Respond to participant inquiries related to pension eligibility, plan benefits, and application status. Provide clear guidance using benefits documentation, plan summaries, and regulatory guidelines. Collaborate with internal teams to research complex cases and escalate issues appropriately. Maintain accurate case logs, documentation, and tracking reports. Support year-end activities, file audits, and data clean-up initiatives as needed. Assist with special projects related to pension administration and workflow optimization. Qualifications Experience working with pension, benefits, accounting, or HR-related data (preferred but not required). Strong numerical aptitude with the ability to interpret plan rules and apply formulas accurately. High attention to detail with excellent data-entry accuracy and documentation discipline. Strong proficiency in Excel and comfort navigating multiple administrative systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a case-driven environment.
