This position will be responsible for: Underwriting basics – Mentor will teach what an underwriter does by topic Basic business unit financial reporting Financial reports for upcoming meetings through UW Desktop and Power BI Pipeline management Preparation and participation in presentations and stewardship meetings Loss summary review and inputs Attending a broker meeting with Mentor You will learn: Insurance underwriting basics Relationship management Organizational skills Presentation skills Collaboration skills Time management skills Basic Qualifications: Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program in the fall semester following the internship Must be a rising junior or rising senior at the time of the internship Must be eligible to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum cumulative GPA average of 3.0 (current GPA reported by your school) Demonstrates problem solving skills in a customer-focused environment Excellent communication skills Analytical skills Excel and PowerPoint experience Self-motivated, punctual, professional and able to work independently At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled.
