Title : Finance Director, FP&A & Strategic Finance
Location: San Francisco, CA 94105
Duration: 8 Months
(8+ years of experience) The main function of a financial analyst
is conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting
investment programs of public or private institutions. A typical
financial analyst is responsible for analyzing and communicating
financial information for clients. An entry level financial analyst
typically has a Bachelor's degree and experience with budget
analysis and financial and investment planning. As the levels
progress, the years of experience increase along with leadership
expectations, with the introduction of a supervisory role at Level
4. The technical skills, including the ability to provide guidance
and consult clients on assets and investments, increase across
levels, starting from basic at Level 1 to expert at Level 5.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline
required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is
preferred.
- 8+ years financial and/or accounting experience required
Responsibility level
- Exercises independent judgment with direction from
supervisor
Skills
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail,

- Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues
and expenses (Typically required)

- Previous experience with computer applications, such as
Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related
financial software (Required)
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Management
- Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to
illustrate technical reports
- Analyze financial information to produce forecast of business,
industry and economic conditions for use in making investment
decisions
- Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price,
yield, stability and future trends in investment risks
- Present oral and written reports on general economic trends,
individual corporations and entire industries
- Lead performance diagnostics, budgeting, forecasting and
management reporting
- Develop and present strategic insights about the business
- Align functional goals and strategies to broader global
initiatives
- Lead preparation of the annual business plan and forecasts,
driving analysis across a globally matrixed organization
- Interpret and present key findings for senior leadership
audience
- Enable management by providing timely, accurate
information
- Understand business drivers and recommend measures to further
improve results and drive improvements to provide more
insights
- Establish efficient processes for monthly and quarterly
performance reporting for optimal result
Project Management
- Spearhead ad-hoc projects to improve the overall performance of
the team and organization(s)
- Decision support to senior finance leadership on investment or
project decisions as well as strategic organizational and
functional developments
- Provide thought leadership and guidance over core processes
building efficiencies and streamlining deliverables.
- Partner with Financial Systems team to develop and execute
roadmap to improve and automate revenue and driver analysis.
