Senior Accountant Pay rate up to $55/hrJob DescriptionThis is an amazing opportunity to join a quickly developing team and make an immediate impact on the business.The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to changing responsibilities and priorities.Job Responsibilities:The Senior Accountant will assist in managing the monthly close process for our client's insurance and investments (including but not limited to monthly investment activity, prepaid amortization, and accruals)Assist in balance sheet reconciliations and flux analyses in accordance with close calendar timelinesAssist in support of external audits, including preparation of audit requests and ongoing supportThe Senior Accountant will coordinate with cross-functional partners to facilitate streamlined processesAssist in documentation/implementation of internal controls and ensure SOX compliance in areas of responsibilityProactively identify process inefficiencies and offer suggestions for improvementsPerform special, ad-hoc projects in Accounting/Finance as requestedExperience:BS in Accounting/Finance, CPA license preferred4+ years in Accounting, including public accounting experience preferredStrong organizational, verbal, and written communication skillsStrong accounting research and problem-solving skillsExperience in Microsoft with a strong emphasis on Excel is a must; Oracle Cloud/ERP experience is preferredInsurance and Investment experience is a plus but not requiredAbility to operate independently and as part of a larger functional teamBenefits:Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the CompanyOur client operates a peer-to-peer marketplace for on-demand ridesharing in the United States and Canada.
