By crafting a point of view on startup-led disruption in financial services, you will fuel Fidelity s strategic planning with outside-in perspectives and insights. Your research will spark new initiatives within FCAT and empower Fidelity to understand and act upon opportunities to enter new markets, deliver new products or capabilities, and expand competencies that deliver more value to our customers.You will:

  • Lead primary and secondary research on the financial services and fintech landscapes, with a bias toward long-term, seismic-level trends and disruptors
  • Use qualitative and quantitative analysis to develop defensible points of view that matter to Fidelity
  • Create and deliver content (reports, presentations, and startup showcases) that educates Fidelity s senior leadership on the most relevant trends and strategic opportunities
  • Consult with decision makers to inform forward-looking strategiesThe Expertise and Skills You Bring
    • Understanding of the fintech startup ecosystem and emerging technology landscape (such as blockchain, AI, and VR / AR) with insight on how they have evolved over time
    • The ability to synthesize, simplify, and communicate complex ideas in an impactful way showing initiative and creativity in the process
    • Understanding of how the financial industry operates, from regulation, business models, foundational technologies, products, and customers
    • Familiarity with how venture capital and private equity leaders think, invest, and operate
    • Knowledge of how senior executives, founders, and investors communicate and make decisions
    • MS degree preferred; MBA is a plus
    • Excellent research, writing, and advisory capabilities
    • Critical thinking and insatiable curiosity: the ability to identify and succinctly explain tech-led disruption across the financial services industry
    • Networking and communication skills: the ability to connect and build trust with founders, investors, and senior executives. You speak two languages: institutional and startup.
    • Openness to working with an editor and your team to make your written deliverables and presentations as strong as possible
    • Strong organizational and project management skills; the ability to help colleagues develop their skills and expertiseThe Value You Deliver

        The base salary range for this position is $124,000-$262,000 per year. \u00A0Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate s relevant experience, and other factors.
        Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation. \u00A0\u00A0
