In support of Optum Care Network's mission, vision, and strategic goals, this position is responsible for supporting the Network Engagement Leadership Team (NELT) in managing the OCN affiliate practices in meeting their quality, risk, affordability and MLR performance goals. - This role plays a key function in being an extension of the VP Network Engagement, Sr. Medical Director and Network Medical Directors. - - -

Primary Responsibilities: -

  • Supports medical director and clinical educator by prioritizing, assisting and executing action items, follow-ups and tasks with minimal supervision
  • Project manages the Regional Collaboration (content planning, meeting coordination, invites, attendance tracking) meeting that includes external network providers
  • Works with National Optum to participate in Network survey. This includes representing WA needs, data coordination, and the support of improvement activities as defined by survey results -
  • Event planning and management for client facing events - -
  • IT communications and troubleshooting
  • Maintenance of Sharepoint, Teams, OneNote for NELT team
  • Report distribution and communication to External Practices
  • Attend NELT Monday meetings and huddles to learn and support management team
  • Schedule, organize, and/or coordinate meetings, events, training sessions, interviews, appointments, conferences, and activities as requested; ensure electronic calendar is coordinated and up to date
  • Compose and edit correspondence and memos for internal and/or external communications as needed
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
  • Foster supportive, team-oriented work environment
  • Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executive sponsors, team members, stakeholders, and peers
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates knowledge of or ability to quickly learn regulatory environment

  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities, deadlines, and responsibilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of the organization, its staff, business partners and patients
  • Ability to judge appropriate information to be conveyed to different levels of management

    Required Qualifications: -

    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college and/or a professional certification requiring formal education beyond a two-year college or equivalent work experience
    • 5+ year of executive assistant or program coordinator working with Director level or above


      Preferred Qualifications: -

      • 1+ years of experience in project management
      • 2+ years of background in healthcare industry and/or managed care


        Mental & Physical Requirements -

        • Mental Effort: Must be able to work effectively as a member of OCN team; work is detailed and complex with multiple competing priorities, deadlines and internal and external customers
        • Physical Requirements: Work is primarily in office environment requiring ability to see and hear and communicate; occasionally requires operation of personal vehicle -
        • Working Conditions: Work is performed in a work-from-home office setting, with in-person meetings as business needs require

            Washington Residents Only: The salary range for Washington residents is $56,300 to $110,400.
