The Stanford MBA Admissions Office seeks an Admission Officer to join our outreach team. The outreach team creates opportunities for prospective applicants to engage with the GSB community, understand the GSB experience, and make informed application and enrollment decisions.

The Admission Officer will play a critical role managing the production and delivery of online and in-person MBA admission programming while engaging with a global audience. As an ambassador for Stanford GSB, you will be a key resource for prospective students looking to learn more about the MBA Program. While reporting to the Director of Outreach, you will work closely across teams within the MBA Admissions and Financial Aid Office, engage other GSB departments such as Alumni Relations, External Relations, and Marketing and Communications, and act as liaison to student groups and other university and external partnerships. In addition to supporting the prospective student journey, you will also be involved in the review and selection process for educational opportunity and access programs supported by the MBA Admissions Office.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to help Stanford GSB attract, admit, and enroll incredible classes of dynamic, diverse, and talented future business leaders. Together, we can make a positive impact on the experience of prospective MBA applicants worldwide.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Manage planning, production, and delivery of online and in-person MBA admissions outreach programs reaching thousands of prospective MBA applicants each year.
  • Collect and analyze data on programming effectiveness; present findings and recommendations to develop recruitment strategy.
  • Serve as an ambassador to prospective applicants, secondary or university personnel, professional organizations, students, parents and alumni; represent the University by attending activities and events, meetings, committees and conferences.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with professional organizations, students and student organizations, and alumni.
  • Read, evaluate, recommend, and advocate to the selection committee for educational opportunity and access partnership program fellowships such as ROMBA (Reaching Out MBA) and Fort as well as BOLD (Building Opportunity for Leadership Diversity) Fellows Fund.

    To be successful in this position, you will bring:
    • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and drive results.
    • Strong reading comprehension and oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to learn admissions processes, programs, and technology platforms.
    • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

      In addition, preferred requirements include:
      • Functional experience in financial analysis, operations, program management, or customer service is desirable.
      • Experience in admissions, financial aid, or higher education is also desirable.

        The expected pay range for this position is $64,000 to $74,000 per year. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position, The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.

        Please Note: This position requires at least two days onsite.
