Job Summary
The Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health, the primary
research arm of the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital
division of UCSF's Department of Obstetrics-Gynecology and
Reproductive Sciences, seeks a Research Administrator 3 (RA3) to
join Bixby's research administration team. The RA3 will use skills
as an, experienced research administrator to independently perform
post-award duties for a complex, diverse research portfolio
valuing-$3MM-$5MM. The RA3 will also fulfill research
administration duties in support of the entire Bixby research
portfolio such as pre-award (e.g., preparation of proposal budgets,
completion of other support pages), management of high-dollar
domestic sub-contracts, and may assist with maintaining an in-house
research financial management system. They will oversee pre and
post-award activities and transactions related to contract and
grant management and maintain contract and grant records in
compliance with institutional research sponsor policies.
The RA3 will apply a thorough understanding of funder and
university policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure
compliance. They will serve as a thought partner to the Principle
Investigators and Project Directors whose portfolios they manage,
proactively identifying financial or compliance issues and
proposing solutions. They will also be a resource for new or more
junior staff regarding post-award policies and procedures. UCSF

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not
covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job
offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the
established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the
experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of
individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be
specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the
range.

Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health
This position is part of the research administration team for the
Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health which is situated
within the ZSFG Division of Ob-Gyn & Reproductive Sciences. The
Bixby Center leads research and training programs around the world
to improve reproductive and sexual health. We work to ensure that
all people have access to birth control, abortion, sex education,
pregnancy and birth care and HIV/STI treatment-regardless of their
age, ethnicity, income, or where they live. Our 200+ members
advance reproductive health policy and practice worldwide through
research, training and advocacy. Since the Bixby Center's founding
in 1999, our research has changed policy, clinical care and laws
for the better. Our work informs evidence-based reproductive and
sexual health policies, treatment and care guidelines to save
women's lives around the world.
Obstetrics, Gynecology, & Reproductive Sciences
The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, & Reproductive Sciences
(ObGyn & RS) is a major academic department in the School of
Medicine committed to providing quality health care services,
educating health care providers and investigators, and conducting
research to advance knowledge in our field. The Department is
nationally recognized for research and training in women's health
care specialties. This position is based at the Department's San
Francisco General Hospital (SFGH) Division, a large teaching,
research, and clinical site. The SFGH Division of Ob-Gyn & RS is
home to -40 faculty, 4 non-faculty academics, and over 100 staff;
fellows, residents, and other trainees; and the Bixby Center for
Global Reproductive Health. The SFGH division has an annual budget
of over $70M. Our mission in the SFGH Division of Ob-Gyn & RS is to
promote justice, quality, and equity in women's health care. We
