Reporter, Venture Capital Journal

Company: PEI
Location: San Francisco

Job Description:

Open to applicants in New York, San Francisco - Bay Area, DC, and Maryland**

Background

PEI is the only global B2B information group focused exclusively on private equity, private real estate, private debt, infrastructure, and investing. As these classes continue to grow in scale and significance - for investors, fund managers, financial practitioners, and other service industries globally - PEI is positioned to provide unparalleled business knowledge and intelligence to these communities.

Formed in London in November 2001, PEI publishes globally recognized magazines and news websites, manages an extensive set of databases dedicated to alternative assets, runs more than 50 market-leading conferences globally, and publishes a large library of specialist books.

Purpose of Role

The reporter will focus on covering the venture community with exclusive, insightful and actionable stories about venture firms and their limited partners. Stories should differentiate VCJ from other publications that similarly cover venture capital.

The reporter will produce these analysis stories and deep dives consistently. The reporter will also collaborate with the editor on story ideas, sourcing and story structures to make sure the content is targeted to our core audience of VCs and their LPs.

The reporter will at times also write shorter profiles of firms and people, trend stories, fundraising items, people moves and other opportunistic news pieces, but the emphasis is on regularly producing impactful and engaging stories that readers can't find anywhere else.

We strive to ensure that opportunities to work and develop at PEI Media are fair, inclusive, and open to all. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of age, disability, gender identity, or gender expression, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, or any other equality characteristic
