Job Summary
The candidate will provide direction and operational leadership for
the clinical research network under the guidance of the PI to
ensure milestone delivery on time and within budget.
The candidate applies extensive knowledge of clinical research
protocols and processes to design multisite research projects of
large scope and high degrees of complexity.
The candidate should be experienced in project management, a
critical thinker and capable of problem solving and aligning the
priorities with trial outcomes and timelines. A good candidate
should demonstrate clinical development experience of the
operational aspects of all stages of FDA regulated drug trials
preferably working in and/or monitoring or leading affiliate teams,
working with external stakeholders, vendors and/or CROs and CMOs,
supply management and planning operational activities to achieve
database lock.
A knowledge of TBI/neurologic conditions and regulation associated
with drug development in this space would be a plus. Other duties
may be assigned, as necessary.
Applies extensive knowledge of clinical research protocols and

Department Description
Within the Department of Neurological Surgery, the Brain and Spinal
Injury Center (BASIC) is a large clinical and research division
with over 40 physicians, nurses, research faculty, staff and
trainees at the ZSFG Hospital campus. Many colleagues from other
departments, other universities throughout the US, and other
countries form an active group of investigators and staff with whom
we collaborate. The incumbent will serve as a member of the BASIC
traumatic brain injury (TBI) clinical research team with a focus on
external TRACK-TBI Network trial management. The TRACK-TBI Network
consists over 20 Level 1 Trauma Centers from across the country
that participate in observational, device, and interventional
studies across the spectrum of head injury, from concussion to
coma. Serving on the Administrative Core, the incumbent will manage
this dynamic network of multiple, multisite studies providing
program management to the network.
