Job Description:
**This work location is a home office. Any qualified U.S. worker
will be permitted to work out of a home office located in the San
Francisco Bay area.** Will represent the Company and its product line of capital
equipment, software, reagents, consumables to Life Science research
customers. Responsible for sales of biotherapeutic systems, software, and
associated reagents and consumables. Responsible for meeting quarterly and
annual sales goals and operating a field-based territory within an
annual expense budget. Will travel to customer locations to sell and
conduct demonstrations and on occasion provide installation, training,
and support. Will accurately forecast account opportunities. Will
analyze territory business trends, potential, and status. Will prepare
and execute tactical marketing plans to generate leads. Will prepare reports
for management and present business plans and competitive reports.
Will maintain territory records and timely submit forecasts, reports,
and expenses. Will maintain daily communication with customers
and management. Position requires up to 70% domestic and
international travel, often on short notice. Educational and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Life Sciences or
related field (or equivalent foreign education) and 5 years’ experience
in capital equipment sales for a Diagnostic or Life Science-based
company. OR, in the alternative: Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or
related field (or equivalent foreign education) and 3 years’ experience in
capital equipment sales for a Diagnostic or Life Science-based
company. Special Requirements: (1) Demonstrated experience in direct sales of capital equipment
with a value ranging from $100k - $500k to Pharmaceutical,
Biotechnology, Academic and Government Research Laboratory customers. (2)Demonstrated experience increasing sales volume over
successive years in multi-million dollar territories. (3)Demonstrated experience researching and monitoring trends and
activities in the Drug Research and Cell Biology markets and creating new
sales opportunities in those industries. (4)Demonstrated experience managing large-scale accounts and
presenting territory, customer, market, and product-related information to
