Job Description:

Duties:

Will be responsible for ecommerce deployments, application

troubleshooting and issues resolution at all points of web applications,

network systems, operating systems, and databases. Will provide

platform development support, application systems administration, and

production support. Will coordinate and supervise all release

activities into production environment. Will take the ownership of a

large-scale Windows 200x web farm, production issues and

troubleshoot/resolve production issues. Will recommend, plan and

implement server hardware/software upgrades in an IIS Web farm using

industry best practices with minimal downtime. Will collaborate with the

infrastructure and development teams on business critical projects. Will

evaluate, test, deploy, and maintain both custom developed and third

party software upgrades. Will maintain SDLC systems such as test

environments, source control, and automated build/test/deploy systems.

Will create and maintain application architecture and troubleshooting

documentation. Will automate systems monitoring task using standard

monitoring tools and optimize sites and systems performance. Will assist

in planning, designing, and implementing a high quality, high

performance production environment. Will assist in evaluating,

recommending, and selecting equipment, services, and vendors. Will

assist in creating a knowledge library for all system diagnostics and

troubleshooting SOPs. Will mentor other team members and lead team of 1-

2 people on small and mid-size projects. Will train offshore teams on

operations’ support procedures, evaluate their performance and take

corrective actions. Will travel to Esurance datacenters for the

deployment of the server architecture. Will respond to all system

problems on a 24x7 basis and take part in on-call rotation.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Computer Science,

Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field plus 5

years of hands on experience in a production environment of 100+ servers

in an customer-facing ecommerce environment.

OR, in the alternative:

Master’s degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Computer Science,

Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field plus 3

years of hands on experience in a production environment of 100+ servers

in an customer-facing ecommerce environment.

Special Requirements:

1. Demonstrated expertise with .NET 3.5 and 4.x applications on IIS6 /

7.x.

2. Demonstrated expertise with High availability Load Balancers /

Clustering - Setup and Configuration.

3. Demonstrated expertise utilizing VMware, including cloning and VM

configuration.

4. Demonstrated expertise writing Regular Expression and Powershell.
