Job Description:

Position is for a senior level process engineer capable of determining

specific client requirements and acquiring detailed understanding of the

project process design requirements, schedule, and deliverables. This

position requires that the incumbent have the ability to originate

process designs while supervising other engineers. It requires senior

level experience and familiarity with liquid and gas processing

equipment and materials associated with pump and compressor stations,

regulator and meter stations, storage facilities and pipelines.

Candidate will provide engineering support for client’s natural gas

and/or liquid storage facilities, transmission, and distribution

stations. Provide technical support during project construction and

commissioning. Perform engineering calculations and prepares sketches

for a specific segment of a project. Communicate with project manager,

client engineers and other stakeholders to ensure standards and

practices are followed from design to completion of project. Gather

information for assists in preparation of technical documents such as

Design Basis, Commissioning Plan, Strength Test Pressure Report, O&MI,

and technical studies and reports. Execute conceptual engineering and

optimization studies for projects using Aspen HYSYS to define projects

in terms of technical scope, cost execution strategy, and duration.

Manage, specify, size and review major mechanical equipment and create

process design basis, process and system sizing calculations,

specifications, and datasheets. Manage vendor-to-client relations and

quality assurance/control of quotes, construction drawings, design

reviews; develop P&IDs, piping drawings, operating diagrams, and ‘as

built” packages using MicroStation.Prepare and review material

requisitions, technical report sections, and correspondence for

approval.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (willing to

accept foreign education equivalent) plus 2 years of experience in

process engineering within the downstream oil and gas industry or,

alternatively, a Master's degree and no experience. Also requires: (1)

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) in process modeling, including hydraulic and

physical system modeling, simulations and optimizations, for liquid

pumps and gas compressor station facilities using Aspen-HYSYS and

ProMax; (2) DE designing pump station and compressor station systems,

including process, instrumentation and piping systems for gas compressor

and storage stations, and process flow diagrams, in compliance with API

Standards, ISA standards, and ASME B31.8, B31.3, B31.1, and 49 CFR part

192; and, (3) DE providing engineering representation during regulatory

or client design activities -- design reviews and audits, including

Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOP) and Process Hazards Analysis

(PHA), for downstream liquids and gas systems.
