Job Description:
Neustar, Inc. seeks a Senior Telecom Engineer in San Francisco,
CA Duties: Architect, Design, Implement, Operate, and Maintain
Cisco Unified Communications and MPLS network migration. Configure and
troubleshoot Cisco Call Manager, Unity voicemail, Cisco Contact Center and TMS
systems. Integrate existing network infrastructures of newly acquired
companies and respond to alerts and escalations. Provide subject matter
expertise and technical support in the areas of UC, Telecom, and IP
networking, and monitor the performance and design systems to ensure system
availability. Migrate phone systems, networks, and Unified communications to
an upgraded platform. Update and manage network diagrams. Evaluate requests
for new equipment and technology. Education and Experience: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Information Systems, or a
related field and three (3) years of experience designing, implementing,
optimizing, and maintaining Cisco Unified Communications platforms; OR,
alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Information Systems or related
field and five (5) years of experience as indicated above. Special Requirements: Also requires demonstrated expertise (DE): in architecting,
designing, configuring, and deploying Cisco Unified Communications using
Cisco Unified Communications Manager / Call Manager and Cisco Unified Contact
Center Solutions; DE architecting and deploying solutions for Contact
Center Telephony, including Call routing, Interactive Voice Response
Scripting and Automatic Call Distribution; DE supporting Contact Center
Enterprise, Corporate IP Telephony, Hard and Soft Telephony End points
(Cisco IP Phones, Video Codecs, IP Communicator, Jabber devices) and Voice
and Video configurations; DE designing, implementing and supporting Voice
Platforms based on SBC / CUBES for Voice SIP trunks; DE integrating Cisco
Call Manager leveraging VoIP protocols, including SIP, H323, H245,
H248, SCCP, MGCP, RTP, RTCP, SRTP and SDP; DE designing and implementing
end-to-end QoS for Voice and Video utilizing the Diffserv End-to-End QoS (DSCP)
model; and DE leveraging IP routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF, and
layer 2 technologies, including STP, VLANs, trunking and VPNs, and
IPSEC/DMVPN to support VoIP for enterprise. For the position listed above, interested candidates may mail
