Job Description:

Duties: Design and implement core IP Intelligence Platform to provide geo-

location data for web-based services. Participate in the design and

implementation of IP Intelligence SaaS platform in support of all the

external features and services, and create and support server-side

components IP Geolocation data ecosystems. Design, evaluate, and implement

scalable and distributed systems architecture. Develop unit tests, maintain

production code, and support CI and release management activities. Utilize

Java, J2EE, Java Web Services (Rest/SOAP), JAXB, JPA, Hibernate, JMS and

various caching and scaling technologies.

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical

Engineering, Data Science, or related field and two (2) years of experience

performing big data processing and data analytics, OR, alternatively, a

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical

Engineering, Data Science, or related field and five (5) years of

experience as indicated above.

Special Requirements:

Also requires demonstrated expertise: writing Java, Scala, and Python

programs for data pipeline development; DE utilizing statistical analysis

methods and machine learning algorithms to perform big data statistical

analysis; DE performing data modeling and building OLTP systems; DE

maintaining and managing production source code using Git and GitHub; DE

creating Hadoop, Hive, and Spark frameworks to convert big data into

insight; DE performing database design using Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL;

DE clustering malicious transactions based on Geo location data using

Scikit Learn; and DE analyzing high level requirements from Product

Management and translating into detailed technical User Stories and tasks.
