Job Description:
Neustar, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer in San Francisco,
CA Duties: Perform design and implementation on core IP
Intelligence SaaS platforms in support of external features and services. Create
and support server side components for IP Geolocation data ecosystem.
Design, evaluate, and implement scalable, distributed systems architecture.
Collaborate with product and project managers, peer engineers, customer facing
sales, QA and operations engineers. Develop unit tests, maintain production
code, support integration and release management activities. Influence the
selection and use of leading, industry standard big data technologies and
bring proven experience to Geopoint and related products. Utilize tools and
technologies including Java, J2EE, Java Web Services (REST/SOAP), JAXB, JPA,
Hibernate, JMS and various caching and scaling technologies and strategies
for enterprise class web applications. Education and Experience: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering or related analytical field and three (3) years of
experience in Java/J2EE software engineering, OR, alternatively, a
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical
Engineering or related analytical field and five (5) years of experience as
indicated above. Special Requirements: Also requires, demonstrated expertise: developing applications
using Core Java libraries, as well as developing new libraries; DE
developing distributed software applications systems in various
environments to run on multiple nodes; DE performing caching to extract local data to
streamline access; DE developing queries to extract data in SQL, Oracle,
Sybase or Mango DB; DE utilizing multiple data structures and algorithms
to access big data; DE interfacing with Product Managers and QA teams to
gather and analyze requirements, and translate into technical architecture;
and DE overseeing end-to-end development cycles including requirements
