Job Description:

Neustar, Inc. seeks a Principal Systems Engineer in San Francisco, CA

Duties: Develop and manage application infrastructure, data collection and

data flow as part of Media Intelligence Platform team. Design, build, and

support server-side software for the platform. Write tools to perform

monitoring and reporting for problem solving, performance, and capacity-

related tests and analysis. Supervise object-oriented programming using

Java, Python and C++. Build systems and processes and perform tuning and

troubleshooting.

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical

Engineering or related analytical field and three (3) years of experience

in Java software engineering, OR, alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree (or

foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related

analytical field and five (5) years of experience as indicated above.

Special Requirements:

Demonstrated expertise: performing Java development using Rest services,

Spring, Hibernate, Python and Perl; DE performing database design using

MySQL, Oracle, NoSQL, Mongo DB, and Hadoop, to develop stored procedures,

triggers and functions; DE performing MVC web layer development using JSON

protocols; DE performing big data analytics and visualization; and DE

working in an Agile development methodology, including test driven

development, continuous development and continuous integration.
