Job Description:

Will document and build functional test plans in accordance with the unique

and complex business requirements of each application. Will document and

track test results and identify and resolve recurring defects uncovered

during testing. Will prepare comprehensive reports of test results,

defects in systems and applications, and the status of all ongoing quality

improvement measures. Will provide engineering guidance to project owners,

developers, and other stakeholders at Esurance to ensure that systems,

applications, and documents are developed according to approved Software

Development Life Cycle ("SDLC") requirements. Will plan testing execution

projects, including creating test plans, executing test cases, and

documenting, analyzing, and tracking test results over time. Will identify

and automate processes and procedures aimed at increasing testing

efficiency and reliability. Will review testing execution results provided

by offshore resources, and will serve as a technical resource in the prompt

resolution of complex business and technical issues uncovered during

testing.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Computer Science,

Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus 5 years of

experience conducting QA testing for complete Software Development Life

Cycle ("SDLC").

OR, in the alternative:

Master's degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Computer Science,

Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field plus 3 years of

experience conducting QA testing for complete Software Development Life

Cycle ("SDLC").

Special Requirements:

(1) Demonstrated expertise leveraging SQL programming language for

processing, displaying or extracting data and resolving issues in a

relational database management system (“RDBMS”).

(2) Demonstrated expertise determining proposed QA system changes and

related effects on insurance industry analytics.

(3) Demonstrated experience identifying risks and trends to minimize

defects that may occur during the QA testing of software applications.

(4) Demonstrated expertise creating test cases to validate system

functionality for all phases of the software development lifecycle,

including Functional testing and User Acceptance testing.
