Job overview:
As the Chief Marketing & Distribution Officer at Common Sense, you
will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and
developing and executing a comprehensive growth marketing and
membership strategy, and overseeing the business partnership
initiatives to support the growth and sustainability of the
organization.

Responsibilities:
Growth Marketing and Membership Engagement
Own and execute performance marketing function focused on growing
awareness, engagement, and scaling revenue with the organization's
mission and offerings across its Family, Education, and Advocacy
programs.
Conceive and execute compelling messaging, campaigns, content
marketing, and lifecycle marketing to attract and engage audiences
at every stage of their journey.
Develop and implement data-driven, growth-oriented marketing funnel
for our membership program to positively influence customer
acquisition, conversion, retention, and lifetime value.
Lead and manage digital marketing channels including SEO, SEM,
social media, video, and email marketing.
Utilize analytics and customer insights to lead a data-driven
approach to marketing and optimize campaigns and initiatives that
drive acquisition and retention.
Identify and explore new channels, partnerships, and tactics to
reach target audiences.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless
audience experience and engagement for families and educators.
Monitor and report on key growth and membership program KPIs.
Partnership Monetization and Distribution
Oversight of Business Development function that directs our paid
distribution (CSR, licensing, and membership), supporting the
organization's sustainability goals and fueling growth and
impact.
Collaborate on partnership efforts for our membership offering that
bring measurable engagement with both our members and our
partners.
Design co-marketing campaigns, events, and promotions with
partners.
Team Leadership
Build and lead a high-performing marketing and distribution team,
providing guidance and mentorship.
Set clear performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and
provide professional development opportunities.
Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, collaboration, and
performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
(Master's degree preferred.)
Experience leading successful growth marketing and membership
initiatives.
15+ years of experience in product marketing and digital marketing,
including social media, email marketing, and lifecycle
marketing.
Demonstrated success in negotiating and managing strategic
marketing partnerships.
Creative thinker with a strategic mindset who has scaled
businesses.
Experience marketing DTC offering, including mobile apps.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Passion for the organization's mission and values.
Ability to travel when needed.
Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
